What it does
Tubetizer is Kiive Audio's tube saturation "color-box" for mix elements. It combines three tube-style circuits with a compressor, tone control and parallel blend, to add anything from subtle warmth to heavier color.
- Three tube types: a Type selector picks one of three modeled tube circuits, each with its own character, from weight and density on low-end parts to sheen on vocals.
- Distortion: sets the amount of saturation, from subtle warmth to aggressive distortion.
- Tone: one control that brightens the sound or adds weight.
- Compressor: built-in dynamics control after the saturation, which can also be pushed for a pumping effect.
- SC Filter: a sidechain filter for the compressor.
- Blend and gain: a mix control for parallel processing and a Gain-Link control for the input and output levels.
- Oversampling and metering: an oversampling switch and built-in metering.
KVR lists version 1.0.3. It has free updates for life. A 14-day, fully working trial needs no card.

When to use it
Tubetizer is the better pick when you want quick tube color plus compression in one cheap plugin. Compared with Decapitator, it has fewer saturation flavors and no tape or transistor modes, but it adds a compressor and costs less. Compared with Softube Saturation Knob, it offers more control, with three tube types, tone, blend and compression instead of one knob. Unlike the Black Box Analog Design HG-2, it focuses on tube saturation alone and does not model a specific hardware unit. Compared with Klanghelm IVGI, it is aimed at heavier, more obvious color.
- Best for: warming vocals, adding weight to bass and drums, and coloring buses.
- Genres: pop, rock, hip-hop and electronic.
- Look elsewhere if: you want tape or transistor flavors too (Decapitator), lo-fi texture (RC-20 Retro Color) or a mastering-grade tube unit (HG-2).
