What it does
M5133 is a mastering EQ with built-in saturation, drawn from three generations of a well-known mastering EQ design. It is meant for the end of a mix, "when the balance is already working", for finishing moves rather than surgical fixes.
- Four bands: variable parametric bands with frequency, Q and ±10 dB gain, each with a Delta Solo button to hear only what that band is changing.
- Hi range switch: each band can shift up; the LF band moves from 20–160 Hz to 100–770 Hz, the LMF from 39–270 Hz to 180 Hz–1.2 kHz, and the HMF from 560 Hz–3.9 kHz to 2.7–18 kHz.
- Filters: variable high-pass and low-pass filters with 6 or 12 dB/oct slopes.
- Saturation: Transformer, Tape or Tube flavours with separate 2nd and 3rd-order harmonic controls and a Mix knob; the EQ also adds its own harmonics independently.
- Stereo: L/M and R/S linking for stereo or mid/side work, channel trims and a stereo width control.
- Quality: an HQ mode with 16x oversampling, plus preset management.
It has free updates for life. A 14-day, fully working trial needs no card.

When to use it
M5133 is for broad, musical tone moves at the end of a mix, with saturation on hand in the same window. Compared with Pro-Q 4 it has only four bands and no dynamic or linear-phase modes, but its Delta Solo and harmonics make it quicker for gentle colour. Unlike the Mäag Audio EQ4's fixed frequencies, its bands are fully variable, though it has no dedicated air band like the EQ4's. Unlike TDR VOS SlickEQ, it offers selectable saturation flavours with direct control over the 2nd and 3rd harmonics.
- Best for: broad tonal shaping on the master or mix bus, and mid/side tweaks during mastering.
- Genres: all styles.
- Look elsewhere if: you need dynamic, linear-phase or surgical EQ; Pro-Q 4 covers that.
