What it does

Vapor Dimension is Karanyi Sounds' small modulation effect for adding width and vintage colour. It packs chorus, phaser and harmonizer sounds into one plugin with a deliberately minimal set of controls, inspired by classic hardware.

20 algorithms: modulation algorithms inspired by vintage chorus, phaser and harmonizer units, from subtle thickening to 70s-style psychedelic swirl.
Two main knobs: the product page names Tone and Modulation controls, so most of the sound comes from the chosen algorithm rather than deep parameter editing.
Smart Random: a randomize button that jumps to new variations for quick ideas.
Presets: 17 factory and artist presets, aimed at sources such as guitars, bass synths, keys and pads.
Uses: widening sounds and adding lo-fi or classic colour to synths, keys, pads, guitars and vocals.

KVR lists version 1.1.1. A 7-day trial is available. A mk2 version of the module is also built into Karanyi Sounds' Playmod. It has been given away free several times in limited-time promotions.

When to use it

Vapor Dimension is the quick, broad option: one plugin covers chorus, phaser and harmonizer colours, and you pick a flavour rather than build one. Compared with TriceraChorus or Chorus JUN-6, it is less detailed and does not model one specific circuit with full control, but it reaches further into phasing and pitch-shifted textures. It is simpler than Flex Chorus, which offers more shaping of the modulation itself. Against the free TAL-Chorus-LX it adds more variety, though TAL is the closer match for a pure Juno-style chorus.

Best for: quick width and lo-fi modulation on keys, guitars, vocals and pads, and bringing thin guitar or synth takes to life.
Genres: lo-fi, electronic, pop, psychedelic and ambient music.
Look elsewhere if: you want an accurate model of a classic chorus with full control; TriceraChorus or Chorus JUN-6 are better.

What producers say

Coverage is mostly giveaway news rather than full reviews, but the write-ups are positive about its presets and subtlety.

Bedroom Producers Blog called the presets "well-engineered and effective" and liked that many of the effects are subtle enough to add flair without changing the sound too much.
Suggested use: the same write-up singled it out for reviving "thin or lifeless" guitar and synth takes and for widening sounds.
