What it does
Megamass is a one-screen drum processor from Karanyi Sounds, built mainly for kicks that sound thin or get buried. The developer's aim is to make kicks "hit hard and cut through instantly."
- Glue, Punch and Mass: the main controls, covering drive, density and low-end presence for weak or buried kicks.
- Color with four modes: four city-inspired colour characters, plus a Tone control for shaping the result.
- Space: adds a dark, booming reverb that puts the drum in a warehouse-like room.
- Width: goes from tight mono to a very wide stereo image.
- AI assistant: suggests a starting setting in a few seconds so you can tweak from there.
- Monolith presets: the Megamass Plus edition adds the Monolith pack of 30 presets aimed at cinematic low-end atmospheres and club sounds.
- Kick library: KVR also lists a signature library of 40 kicks by producer SNYL, from overdriven 808s to modern designer kicks.
The current version is 1.0.0. The developer's store sells a Megamass Plus Monolith edition, and a 7-day trial is available.

When to use it
Megamass is the pick when the job is a bigger kick and you want it done in one window: drive, low-end density, reverb and width sit side by side. Compared with Soundtoys Decapitator or Softube Saturation Knob, it is far less flexible as a general saturator, but it adds the room and stereo controls those plugins do not have. Compared with Soundtoys Radiator, it aims for weight and size rather than tube colour. Its AI starting point and presets make it quicker for beginners than building the same chain from a saturator, a compressor and a reverb.
- Best for: kicks, 808s and drum loops that need weight and size fast, and booming cinematic hits.
- Genres: house, techno, hip-hop and trap, other electronic styles and cinematic percussion.
- Look elsewhere if: you want a general-purpose saturator for buses, vocals or synths; Decapitator or Saturation Knob are more versatile.
