What it does

The bass version of the JST Bus Glue compressor series (BG-Bass), built to control low-end dynamics.

Three modes: Low (low end only), High (high end only) or Low-High (both).
Comp dial: strength from Low through Medium to Max.
Mix knob: blends in dry signal for parallel compression.
Metering: a gain-reduction meter whose threshold can be overridden by the user.

When to use it

Handy when you want to compress just the lows or just the highs of a bass track with one switch. Suits rock, metal and pop bass. It is the same idea as the Joel Wanasek Bus Glue Bass, voiced by a different producer.
