What it does
Tonal Balance Control 3 is a metering and referencing plugin that compares your mix with target frequency profiles.
- Targets: 30+ genre targets made from professional masters, a Target Blender to combine two, and custom targets captured from your DAW.
- Standalone app: captures references from streaming services such as Spotify and YouTube.
- Meters: Tonal Balance (three views), Vocal Balance, Dynamics and Stereo Width.
- Correction: a built-in Hybrid EQ with static and dynamic nodes, and integration with Ozone, Neutron and Nectar.
It is also included in the iZotope Pro subscription.
When to use it
Tonal Balance Control is for checking that a mix or master sits within the usual range for its genre before you send it out. It works as a second opinion for tracks made in a room you don't fully trust. It doesn't process audio much on its own, so it suits people who already have EQs they like.
