What it does
Aurora is a reverb from iZotope's Catalyst Series that uses reactive unmasking to make room for vocals and instruments as they play. It runs on Exponential Audio's reverb engine.
- Adaptive unmasking: carves space in the reverb signal so it doesn't cloud the tracks it sits behind.
- Six reverb types: with controls for pre-delay, decay, width and tone.
- Presets: over 60, covering natural spaces and creative effects.
When to use it
Aurora is a simple, low-cost way to get a reverb that stays out of the way of the dry sound. It has fewer controls than Neoverb or Equinox. It suits vocal and instrument sends where you want space without washing out the mix.
