What it does

Slice is a loop slicer and sampler: load an audio loop, cut it into parts and rearrange the slices into new melodies and grooves.

Slicing: automatic transient detection.
Playback: a built-in sequencer with piano roll, and drag-and-drop of MIDI or audio into your DAW.
Content and effects: 300+ royalty-free loops and beatstarters, and an effects rack (reverb, delay, chorus, reverse).

When to use it

A straightforward way to flip loops and samples, in the spirit of chop-based beatmaking. It is simpler than the loop-slicing side of Initial Audio's own SourceLab 2, which adds synthesis and sampling around it.

Best for: sample-flipping in hip-hop, lo-fi and trap.
