What it does

Reverse is a single-purpose plugin that "rewinds your mixes, instruments, vocals and effect channels" in real time, so you don't have to bounce and flip audio by hand. The developer aims it at patterns and arrangement moves in hip-hop, trap and EDM.

It is a perpetual license and was on sale when checked.

When to use it

Reverse is the pick when all you need is a quick, tempo-synced reverse on a track, for very little money. Compared with Effectrix2 and Stutter Edit 2 it has no sequencer and no other glitch effects, but there is nothing to program: choose a length, set the mix and play. Compared with Infiltrator 2 or Transit 2 it can't chain reverse with filters, delays or build-up automation. That makes it a narrow but handy utility rather than a creative multi-effect.

What producers say

There is little in-depth coverage; the one roundup that discusses it calls it simple and effective for the price.
