What it does
T-RackS 6 is IK's mixing and mastering suite, which hosts its processing modules in chains or one at a time.
- Processors: IK counts 63 mixing and mastering processors across the range, with the number available depending on the edition (base, Pro or Max).
- Standalone mastering console: a separate application for mastering without opening a DAW.
- Plugin mode: also runs inside a DAW, with a resizable interface and a Module Manager to choose which modules appear.
- Eleven new modules in version 6: Prism Reverb, Master Match X, Channel Strip X, Bass ONE, Quad Saturator, Filter Fusion, Dual Spring, Delay Lab, Triad Chorus, LO-FI Punch and Lurssen Mastering EQ.
- Sidechain: available on the dynamics modules.

When to use it
T-RackS 6 suits producers who want a bundle of compressors, EQs, tape machines and mastering tools they can drop in a single chain, and a standalone mastering workflow. It is a suite rather than a single effect, so individual modules can be compared with dedicated plugins such as FabFilter's. The base edition is the entry point; the Pro and Max editions add many more modules.
