What it does

ReSing is IK Multimedia's "breakthrough plug-in and standalone application that brings professional voice modeling to your desktop workflow." It swaps the timbre and phonetic features of a vocal for those of AI models built from real session singers.

Voice and instrument models: up to 25 voice and 25 instrument models in ReSing MAX (2 each in ReSing SE), in English, Spanish and Japanese; sing a bassline or riff and convert it to an instrument.
Shaping controls: Transpose with an Auto mode, Character, Accent, Dynamic and Fusion, which blends two models into a hybrid voice.
Built-in effects: real-time Reverb, Tune, Dynamics and Contour, plus a Preview function to audition a model before processing.
Your own models: train voice models locally with the ReSing Modeler app, or import RVC models from online communities.
Local and ARA: processing happens on your computer with no uploading; ARA integration in supported DAWs. A Doubling add-on generates double tracks and stacks.

ReSing is sold as SE and MAX editions, and a free edition with two voices (Neil and Jenny) and no model generation is also offered.

When to use it

ReSing is for when you want the vocal to sound like a different, realistic singer, for demo vocals, backing parts, or gender and range changes. Unlike Waves OVox Vocal ReSynthesis and iZotope VocalSynth 2, which transform vocals with synthesis and vocoding effects, or Melodyne 5 editor, which reshapes pitch and timing but keeps the singer's identity, it changes who the singer seems to be.

Best for: turning scratch or songwriter demos into polished vocals, backing vocals and doubles, and sketching instrument lines by voice.
Genres: pop, hip-hop, R&B, EDM, reggaeton and rock demos.
Look elsewhere if: you need to fix a poor performance; Sound On Sound stresses that pitch problems carry over into the result.
Standout: local, offline voice modeling with the option to train and own your own models.
