ZeroWidth is an automatic stereo widener from HoRNet that measures correlation across several frequency bands and shapes the mid/side image to match.
Adaptive EQ and side gain do the work, with manual band overrides and zero latency. It costs about $28.
Best for: Mix Bus, Mastering, Keys & Synths, Guitars. Genres: all genres.
Keywords: wide, low latency, mid/side, bus processing, mastering, mix bus, zero-latency, electric guitar, full mix, metering, minimal controls, A/B compare, AI assistant, bass, beginner-friendly, mixing, samples & loops, single knob, pads, tracking.
What it does
ZeroWidth is HoRNet's "intelligent stereo widener that listens to your mix". It learns the material's correlation profile over a few seconds, then sets side gain and side EQ per band, so it widens without the phase and mono problems of a single width knob.
- Learning: real-time correlation analysis calibrates the widening from the audio; Reset re-runs it when you change material, and a display shows the learning progress.
- Widening: 0 to 100%, scaling the overall amount.
- Auto EQ: 0 to 200%, scaling how strongly the automatic per-band side EQ works.
- Seven bands: including bands centred at 156 Hz (bass and body), 1.25 kHz (transients) and 10 kHz (air and melodic content), each with a manual gain override.
- Metering and A/B: input, output and correlation meters, plus a bypass for quick comparison.
- Latency: per-sample processing with zero latency, light enough for many instances and for tracking.
A 15-day money-back guarantee applies, and the free demo has no functional limits.
When to use it
ZeroWidth is the pick when you want a wider mix but don't want to judge band-by-band width by ear. Compared with Ozone Imager and Polyverse Wider, where you set the width yourself, it decides how much side signal and side EQ each of its seven bands gets from its analysis. Unlike Waves S1 or bx_stereomaker, it offers no rotation, asymmetry or mono-maker controls, just two main knobs and band overrides. It costs more than the free versions of Ozone Imager and Wider, so its value is the automatic, per-band balancing rather than raw width.
- Best for: widening mixes, pads, guitars and the master bus while keeping the image stable.
- Genres: any.
- Look elsewhere if: you only need a simple width knob (Wider or Ozone Imager do that for free) or want detailed manual imaging (S1 Stereo Imager).
