Track Coherence is a HoRNet meter, made with The Buildzer, that shows the dynamic range of a track as the difference between its peak and RMS level.

What it does

Track Coherence is a dynamic range meter made by HoRNet with The Buildzer. It measures the relationship between peak and RMS levels to help you "manage the dynamic range of your tracks", so you can see which parts are squashed or too peaky.

Dynamic range display: a real-time peak-to-RMS reading that shows how much space there is between the loudest peaks and the average level.
History values: maximum and average dynamic range over the time you have measured.
Level readouts: true peak meters plus maximum peak and RMS values.
Reference range: a target range adjustable from 4 to 21 dB, so you can set how much dynamic range you are aiming for.
Reset: clears the history to start measuring a new section or a new take.

When to use it

Track Coherence is the pick for keeping an eye on how compressed individual tracks are. Compared with Youlean Loudness Meter 2, it has no LUFS or loudness-range readings, but its single peak-to-RMS focus and adjustable reference range make it quick to read on many tracks at once. Compared with Insight 2, it is a tiny single-purpose meter rather than a full metering suite. It measures dynamics, not mix balance, unlike HoRNet's separate Coherence Meter.

Best for: checking compression on individual tracks and buses, and keeping dynamics consistent across a mix.
Genres: any.
Look elsewhere if: you need LUFS or loudness-range readings for delivery (Youlean Loudness Meter 2 or Insight 2).
