MultiFreqs by HoRNet

MultiFreqs is a spectrum analyzer that can show up to 28 tracks at once, with a conflict mode that highlights where tracks overlap in frequency.

It has an analog-style mode inspired by hardware analyzers and an FFT mode, mid/side views and per-instance colours, for about $17.02.

Best for: Mix Bus, Mastering, Sound Design. Genres: all genres.

Keywords: built-in analyzer, mid/side, full mix, mixing, AAX, bass, bus processing, electric guitar, FFT-based, inspired by, keys, kick, mastering, mix bus, resizable UI, sound design, utility, vocals.

What it does

MultiFreqs is a multitrack spectrum analyzer: put an instance on each track and see them all on one display, so frequency clashes between parts of a mix are easy to spot.

Version 1.1.5 fixed issues in Logic. There is no demo; instead a 15-day money-back guarantee applies.

When to use it

MultiFreqs is the low-cost pick for seeing many tracks on one analyzer and spotting masking. Compared with the free SPAN, which shows one source per instance, it overlays up to 28 tracks in their own colours and marks the clashes. Neutron 5 also has masking views, but they are tied to its own EQ and it costs far more; MultiFreqs only shows the problem and leaves the fix to you. Insight 2 is a much fuller metering suite with loudness and stereo tools, while MultiFreqs does one job, overlaid spectrums, at a fraction of the price.

What producers say

There is little independent coverage yet; the one write-up found is positive about its value.
