It keeps the original 73 frequencies for purists, and costs €129 (about $146).

Keywords: vocals, bus processing, mix bus, British console, classic, full mix, hardware emulation, 70s, inspired by, mixing, static, vintage.

What it does

HA6673 is the other plugin in Heritage Audio's 80 Series Console Channels Collection. It builds on the classic 73 by adding a 66-style mid band, aiming for what the developer calls tonal range that is "genuinely hard to beat".

It was released on March 29, 2026. Owners of 6673, 8173 or i73 PRO hardware get the 80 Series Console Channels Collection plugins free. A 14-day demo is available.

When to use it

HA6673 is the pick when you want 73-style console tone with a wider choice of mid frequencies, especially for vocals and full mixes. Compared with the Pultec Passive EQ Collection and Manley Massive Passive EQ it has a more focused mid band and a punchier console character rather than broad passive curves. Next to its sibling HA8173, it trades the 81's two mid bands for a single, more flexible 66-style mid, so it suits vocals and arrangements more than drums and guitars. For clean, surgical or dynamic work, Pro-Q 4 and F6 go much further.
