A second version adds a modelled 73-style preamp for the full channel path.

Best for: Vocals, Drums, Guitars, Bass, Acoustic Instruments. Genres: Rock & Indie, Pop, R&B & Soul.

Keywords: diode-bridge, hardware emulation, built-in mix knob, British console, drums, vocals, warm, 70s, bass, bus processing, electric guitar, mixing, musical, parallel processing, sidechain input, vintage.

What it does

BritStrip combines "an expanded 73 style equalizer and the famous diode bridge compressor" from Heritage Audio's Successor bus compressor, modelled on the company's own rackmount BritStrip.

A DSP version is available for Heritage's i73 PRO interfaces.

When to use it

A straightforward Neve-flavoured strip with a punchier, more characterful compressor than most 1073 emulations. Good on vocals, drums and guitars where you want warmth and glue in one plugin; free if you own the hardware or an i73 PRO interface.
