An all-in-one drum channel strip from Harrison with six routable modules: Drum Character EQ, signal generator, expander/gate, compressor, filters and 32C EQ.
Drum Character EQs the attack and tail of each hit separately, and the signal generator can add gated noise to a snare or a low sine to a kick.
Best for: Drums, Drum Bus. Genres: Rock & Indie, Pop, Metal, Hip-Hop & Trap.
Keywords: drums, kick, snare, downward expansion, punchy, tight, American console, mixing, bus processing, drum bus, enhancement, mix bus, samples & loops, subscription.
What it does
Harrison Drum Flow is "an all-in-one processing suite designed specifically to improve drum tone," aimed at adding punch and attack without losing clarity and warmth.
- Drum Character: an EQ that detects drum-hit transients and lets you EQ the attack and tail ranges separately, with a trigger threshold and indicator.
- Signal Generator: blends gated white noise, a low-frequency sine or other signals, keyed from the input, for extra snap or thump.
- Dynamics: an expander/gate to tighten drums and cut bleed, and Harrison's console compressor based on the Mixbus channel strip.
- EQ and filters: a four-band 32C Channel EQ with optional shelves, plus high- and low-pass filters with variable slopes.
- Master section: input, output and routing controls, wet and dry faders, and transient waveform and EQ displays.
The current version is 2.1.0. It has a 14-day free trial and is included in SSL's Complete Access subscription.
When to use it
Drum Flow is a drum-specific strip with a few unusual tools. iZotope Neutron 5 is a broader mixing suite, the SPL Transient Designer Plus focuses only on attack and sustain, and Analog Obsession Sweet Drums is a drum strip like it, but free. Pick Drum Flow if you want transient-aware EQ, a gate and a trigger-style signal generator for reinforcing kicks and snares in one plugin.
- Best for: kick, snare and tom tracks that need punch, tightening or sample-like reinforcement.
- Genres: rock, pop, metal and hip-hop, anywhere real or sampled drums need shaping.
- Look elsewhere if: you only need transient shaping, or want a general-purpose channel strip.
- Standout: the Drum Character EQ that treats attack and tail separately.

- KVR user (2025): rated it 5/5 on version 2.0.1, calling it "one of those plug-ins that you did not know you needed" and praising the gates, compression and filters on kick, snare, toms and cymbals.
- Value: the same reviewer summed it up as "Nice product good price."
