What it does

DC19 is Goodhertz's "delay you can play": a dual delay built to be performed, with glide between delay times and one-press macros for freezing or killing the echoes. It grew out of the Wet Delay feature in Goodhertz's Wow Control, and its idea is to move smoothly in and out of tempo sync instead of jumping between fixed note values.

A 30-day free trial is available. The interface is available in nine languages.

When to use it

DC19 is the delay to pick when you want to play the echoes rather than set and forget them. Compared with EchoBoy and Timeless 3, it has far fewer echo styles and less modulation routing, but its glide, smooth sync control and hold macros make dub throws and live delay moves much quicker. Compared with Comeback Kid, it is a little pricier and less of a quick insert, but it adds a second delay line, ping-pong modes and a spring reverb. ValhallaDelay covers more delay types for less money, while DC19 is the more focused performance tool. Its zero latency also makes it usable while tracking.
