What it does
GGD Studio Cabs: Zilla Edition distills Zilla's cabinet lineup into one plugin, with IRs captured by Adam Getgood and the Zilla team at Middle Farm Studios, the room behind GGD's Invasion and Modern & Massive drum libraries.
- Nine cabs: Fat Baby 1x12, Ported 1x12, Fat Boy and Super Fat Boy 2x12, Studio Pro 2x12, Vertical 2x12, OS Angled and OS Straight 4x12, and Standard Basketweave 4x12.
- Speakers: Alnico Creamback, Alnico Hemp Cone, G12H Creamback, G12H Heritage, G12H 150, G12K 100, G12M Creamback, G12M Greenback, V30 UK and Vintage 30.
- Microphones: C414, KM184, MD421, R88, Rode NTR and SM57 (on and off axis), with blendable close and far positions.
- Seven channels: phase-coherent IRs across independent channels, plus a master EQ for quick color changes.
- IR export: export your blend for use in other software and hardware.

When to use it
Zilla Edition has the widest spread of cab sizes and speakers within GGD's own range, where Cali Oversized Edition covers one style of large modern cab and Goldstack covers Greenback 4x12s. It is narrower than GENOME and SuperCabinet, which are bigger cab and IR platforms. Pick Zilla if you want many boutique cab and speaker options with the mic blending already phase-aligned.
- Best for: modern metal and rock rhythm tones, boutique cleans and leads, and building a signature cab blend to export as an IR.
- Genres: metal, djent, hard rock and indie.
- Look elsewhere if: you want the classic Greenback 4x12 sound specifically (Goldstack) or a full amp sim.
- Standout: nine Zilla cabs, including one built for the plugin, with ten speaker types.

The few user comments we found were about technical issues rather than tone.
- Gripe: an Apple Community user (2020) reported "a lot of CPU load" and a loud transient when switching presets in the Logic AU version.
