Not rated yet
VREV-305 emulates a rare 1970s spring chamber with 12 springs tuned in a logarithmic, scale-like progression, giving dense tails without the usual spring twang.
It adds a 4-band EQ, per-channel pre-delay, stereo summing options and flexible decay, for $59, with a 14-day trial.
Best for: Drums, Guitars, Vocals, Keys & Synths. Genres: all genres.
Keywords: spring, 70s, chamber, hardware emulation, drums, vocals, electric guitar, organic, synths, bass, classic, lush, mixing.
What it does
VREV-305 is based on "an iconic and very rare spring chamber reverb system from the 1970s." Its tank holds 12 individually tuned springs in a logarithmic progression, which gives dense, lush tails without the usual spring twang.
- 12 springs: tuned in a logarithmic (equal-temperament) progression for dense, harmonic reflections; a KVR reviewer describes it as two six-spring channels.
- Decay: adjustable decay time beyond the hardware's fixed limit.
- Pre-delay: set separately for each channel.
- Linked or unlinked channels: adjust left and right together, or unlink them for a more varied, organic stereo image.
- Stereo summing: switchable, before or after the spring system.
- EQ and mix: a four-band EQ to fit the tail to the source, plus a mix control.
A 14-day fully functional trial is available, with no noise or limits.

When to use it
VREV-305 is the pick when you want spring texture with smoother, denser tails that sit between a cheap spring and a plate. Compared with Universal Audio's AKG BX 20 or IK Multimedia's Dual Spring, it is a rarer, more refined chamber-style spring with per-channel pre-delay and unlinked stereo. Unlike Valhalla VintageVerb or FabFilter Pro-R 2, it does only springs, but it gives a character those algorithmic reverbs don't model. It is also less twangy than Fuse's own VREV-63 and the free VREV-666.
- Best for: drums, guitars, bass, vocals and synths that need a dense, characterful tail.
- Genres: any style, from indie and soul to electronic.
- Look elsewhere if: you want the twangy, dirty surf-guitar spring; Fuse Audio Labs' VREV-63 is closer.
- Tip: unlink the channels and set slightly different values per side for a wider, more organic stereo tail.
What producers say
The single KVR user review is enthusiastic about the refined sound.
- KVR users rate it 5 out of 5 from 1 review (2022), which called the sound "dense and intense", better than the free VREV-666, and the reviewer's single choice among several spring plugins and IRs.
- Criticisms: the same reviewer said it is not the one for very twangy, dirty surf guitar.
