What it does
OCELOT Octaver is the octave tool in Fuse Audio Labs' OCELOT series. It aims for "thick, musical octave-down weight and crisp octave-up presence", enhancing a source rather than mangling it.
- Two engines: independent octave-up and octave-down paths that can run together.
- Tune controls: focus each octave on the frequency range you want to enhance.
- Listen mode: plays back just the range a Tune control is set to, so you can find the right spot by ear.
- Tracking: a detection algorithm built for consistent, phase-stable results on kicks, bass and synths.
- Levels and solo: a global level control, octave solo options, and separate level meters for each octave and the output.
- Spectrum view: a collapsible spectrum display.
- Lightweight: zero latency and low CPU load.
The current version is 1.0.

When to use it
OCELOT Octaver is the better pick when you want to add octave layers above and below a part at once, with zero latency and control over which range gets enhanced. Compared with Soundtoys Little AlterBoy, it has no formant control or voice-changing modes, but it can add the up and down octaves together and focus each on a frequency range. Compared with Waves LoAir, it is not limited to the low end, since the octave-up engine adds presence on top. It is not a pitch corrector or harmonizer like Auto-Tune Pro 11 or Waves Harmony.
- Best for: thickening bass, kick and 808 lines, and adding octave-up presence to guitars or synths.
- Genres: hip-hop, trap, electronic, pop and rock.
- Look elsewhere if: you want formant shifting or vocal character changes (Little AlterBoy), harmonies (Waves Harmony) or pitch correction (Auto-Tune Pro 11).
- Tip: switch on Listen mode while setting each Tune control, so you hear only the range that will be enhanced.
