What it does
DreamEater is a "cosmological multi-delay" from Freakshow Industries, the developer behind "audio effects for the end times". It belongs to the Vaporware Series of "mutated classics", next to the Mouth of Sorrow chorus, and it aims at spacey, smeared echoes rather than exact repeats.

When to use it
DreamEater is a small, cheap character delay for quick dreamy echoes, not a precision tool. Compared with EchoBoy or Timeless 3, it gives up the deep, documented controls (tap patterns, modulation routing, filter shaping) for a simpler panel and a much lower price. Its page names no per-tap controls, so it is no stand-in for UltraTap's detailed tap editing. Because the developer publishes so little about its controls, the trial is the best way to judge it.
