What it does

MiRA Session is the 2-channel edition of FLUX::'s MiRA analysis software, combining spectrum analysis, loudness and stereo metering in one workspace. Its tagline is "Get your mix RIGHT."

The current version is 26.04. Session is limited to 2 channels at up to 96 kHz; the subscription-only Studio, Live and Ultimate editions add up to 24 channels, immersive tools, 3D Nebula and system calibration. A trial is available on request.

When to use it

MiRA Session is for engineers who want one analysis window covering spectrum, loudness and stereo image. Compared with Insight 2, it covers similar ground in one window and adds the Nebula spatial spectrogram. It does far more than Youlean Loudness Meter 2, which is cheaper and enough if you only need LUFS readings. Against the free SPAN, it adds loudness, true peak and stereo scopes in customisable layouts.

What producers say

Early press coverage is positive, though most of it covers the larger MiRA editions.
