What it does
Pro-MB is FabFilter's multiband dynamics processor, handling compression, expansion, limiting and gating across up to six freely placed bands.
- Phase modes: Dynamic Phase (zero latency), Linear Phase and Minimum Phase.
- Per-band controls: threshold, ratio, attack, release, knee, lookahead, stereo linking and side-chain input.
- Display: interactive multiband view with a real-time frequency analyzer.
- Extras: up to 4x linear-phase oversampling, global dry/wet from 0 to 200%, MIDI Learn.

When to use it
Pro-MB is for problems that a single-band compressor like Pro-C 3 can't solve, such as a boomy low end that needs control without dulling the highs.
- Best for: mastering, mix buses, vocals and full-range sources with uneven frequency dynamics.
- Look elsewhere if: one broadband compressor does the job, or you want a static EQ move.
