What it does
Micro is FabFilter's minimal filter plugin: one high-quality filter with a smooth sound that can saturate and self-oscillate. It is based on the filter technology from FabFilter One.
- Filter: low-pass and high-pass shapes.
- Modulation: an envelope follower on the cutoff.
- Gain: input and output controls for managing saturation.
- Extras: interactive filter display, MIDI Learn, sample-accurate automation and undo/redo.

When to use it
Micro is the simplest of FabFilter's filters. If you need more than one filter, routing or modulation, step up to Simplon or Volcano 3.
- Best for: quick filter sweeps, DJ-style cuts and gentle envelope-following movement.
- Look elsewhere if: you need band-pass shapes, multiple filters or a modulation system.
