Emulation of a classic spring reverb tank with tone and modulation controls.

Best for: Guitars, Keys & Synths, Drums. Genres: Rock & Indie, Lo-Fi.

Keywords: spring, electric guitar, hardware emulation, tremolo, drums, tube, classic, keys, lo-fi, metallic, mixing, tempo-synced.

What it does

A spring reverb modelled on the tanks in tube guitar amps, with physical controls that real hardware doesn't offer.

Tanks: two spring tank sizes with morphing between them, using 1 to 3 springs.
Tone: independent low and high damping, and metallic resonance adjustment.
Tremolo: tube-amp-style tremolo before or after the reverb.
Extras: tempo sync, modulation, Ribbon control, Hotswitch, and artist presets by Matt Lange, Nick Hook and Nu-Trix.

When to use it

Spring is a specialist spring reverb with tremolo built in, so it's quicker for surf and amp-style sounds than a general reverb. For plates, halls and rooms use something like VintageVerb or UltraReverb instead.

Best for guitar, keys, and drums or vocals wanting a splashy vintage character. Suits surf, rock, country, dub and lo-fi.
