What it does

SplitEQ is an 8-band parametric EQ that divides audio into transient and tonal streams so each can be equalised, and panned, independently.

Bands: 8 bands with peak, notch, bandpass, shelf and high/low-pass filters.
Stereo: L/R and mid/side panning for each band's transient and tonal streams.
Display: real-time spectrum analyser showing the two streams separately.
Presets: 150+, grouped as Enhance, Repair, Rebalance and Widen.
Interface: resizable, with three colour schemes including a colourblind-accessible one.

When to use it

Where Pro-Q 4 or TDR Nova treat the whole signal, SplitEQ lets you cut the attack of a snare without touching its body, or brighten sustain without adding click. It's a corrective and creative tool rather than a replacement for a main mixing EQ.

Best for drums, guitars, pianos and percussive sources; also useful for widening one part of a sound.
