What it does

A reverb with parallel pitch shifters that add ethereal layers, inspired by production techniques on U2's The Unforgettable Fire.

Pitch: shifts in fourths, fifths and octaves across a range of +/-2 octaves, with MicroPitch tuning around the intervals.
Feedback: low, mid and high crossover network on the feedback path.
Controls: Freeze for smeared textures, Ribbon for real-time morphing, Hotswitch to jump between preset states, pitched-signal delay up to 1 second or tempo-synced.

When to use it

ShimmerVerb is a dedicated shimmer reverb. Compared with Blackhole and Supermassive from the rated list, which cover huge ambience in general, ShimmerVerb is more direct if you want octave and fifth pads on demand.

Best for ambient, cinematic, post-rock, worship and electronic sound design, and for turning guitar or synth notes into pads.
