What it does

Voices: each has its own panning, delay, detune and feedback.
Notation Grid: program harmonies on a staff with a quantised grid.
Locks: MixLock keeps the wet/dry mix while browsing presets, and Key Lock holds the key.
Extras: a pitch-tracking off mode for polyphonic sources, a Randomize function, snapshots (up to 32 scenes), Gated MIDI mode and 70+ presets.

When to use it

Octavox is for building stacked, rhythmic or choir-like harmonies from a single source, which makes it more of a creative instrument than the pitch correction tools at the top of the pitch list. It is less simple and less old-sounding than the H910 and H949 pitch shifters.

Best for: vocals, guitars, synths and drums, and generative or sequenced harmony parts.
Genres: pop, electronic, ambient and experimental.
