What it does
EChannel is a lightweight channel strip with a gate, a 5-band parametric EQ and a compressor.
- FlexiPath routing: the processors can be reordered to suit the job.
- EQ: 5-band parametric with a graphical frequency display.
- Compressor: side-chain triggering is available.
- Output stage: an output transformer emulation adds analog-style warmth.
- Presets: 100+ factory presets.
When to use it
A simple, low-CPU channel strip for tracking and mixing when you want gate, EQ and compression in one window. It isn't a model of a specific console, so if you want a particular vintage channel sound, look at the console-style strips from Slate Digital or Waves.
- Best for: vocals, guitars, bass and drums where you need quick, general-purpose dynamics and EQ.
