Keywords: multi-band, wide, mastering, mixing, electric guitar, full mix, synths, bus processing, drums, minimal controls, mix bus, pads, transparent.
What it does
DeeMultiWider is a five-band stereo imager for mixing and mastering. Instead of standard mid/side, it uses a "proprietary LCR separation" method that pulls out what the left and right channels share, so the developer says left-placed sounds stay left and right-placed sounds stay right while the width changes.
- LCR separation: extracts the shared left/right content and adjusts the rest, which Dotec-Audio presents as more natural and transparent than plain M/S widening.
- Five bands: LOW, LOW-MID, MID, HIGH-MID and HIGH, each with its own stereo width setting.
- STEREO SIDE per band: the main control in each band; turn it up to widen that range or down to narrow it.
- Four crossovers: adjustable split frequencies between the five bands, so you can match the bands to the material.
- Minimal layout: the page shows only the side amounts and crossover points, so there is little to set up.
- Precision: 64-bit double-precision internal processing.
Version 1.0.0 (1 August 2026) is the first release. The free demo inserts one second of silence every 30 seconds.

When to use it
DeeMultiWider is a simple pick for per-band width with a light touch. Its five bands go further than the four of Ozone Imager, and it uses Dotec-Audio's LCR separation rather than mid/side, but it shows no vectorscope or correlation meter on its product page. Compared with StageOne 2, which focuses on natural-sounding widening with more depth controls, it is a plainer band-by-band tool at a lower price. Unlike S1 Stereo Imager, it has no rotation or asymmetry controls; it only sets how wide each band is.
- Best for: narrowing the lows and widening the highs on a mix or master, and per-band width on synths, pads and stereo guitars.
- Genres: any; it is a general mixing and mastering tool.
- Look elsewhere if: you want a correlation meter, vectorscope and detailed visual feedback, or stereo rotation; Ozone Imager or S1 Stereo Imager do more.
