What it does
DeeMax is Dotec-Audio's saturating maximizer. The developer's pitch is to "easily add loudness without disturbing the taste", with one slider controlling everything; pushing the slider adds loudness and a fat saturation together.
- One slider: sets loudness and saturation at once; readouts can be shown in % or dB.
- TURBO: a switch that adds extra punch.
- SAFE: watches for excessive saturation in real time and smooths it out automatically.
- MONITOR: lets you hear the change at constant volume, so you judge the tone rather than the level jump.
- Transients: transient handling was improved in version 2.5.0.
- Live use: low CPU use and stable behaviour are meant to make it safe for performance; it is also included in KORG Gadget.
- Intended use: the developer aims it at individual tracks and the master track, especially dance music and loud rock.
The current version is 2.6.6 (13 January 2026). The free demo inserts one second of silence every 30 seconds.

When to use it
DeeMax is the better pick when you want loudness and fatness in one move rather than a clean, controllable limiter. Compared with Pro-L 2 or L2 Ultramaximizer, it has no threshold, ceiling, release or true-peak controls and no loudness metering, so it is not a precise mastering tool. Unlike Elevate or Ozone 12 Maximizer, it trades depth for speed: one slider plus three switches. Within Dotec-Audio's own range, DeeMMax is the transparent mastering option for delicate material, while DeeMax is the one meant to sound big. Its MONITOR switch helps here, letting you hear the tone at constant volume before you commit.
- Best for: quick loudness with added punch and saturation on drums, beats, buses, demos and live sets.
- Genres: dance music, EDM, hip-hop and loud rock.
- Look elsewhere if: you need transparent, true-peak-safe mastering for streaming targets (Pro-L 2, or DeeMMax from the same developer) or detailed limiter controls (Ozone 12 Maximizer).
