What it does
DeeEQ is a two-slider, semi-automatic EQ from Dotec-Audio. The developer says "you can get the best equalizing with only two sliders": you think in terms of more or less bass or treble, not frequencies and Q values.
- Horizontal slider: moves the emphasis of the effect between the bass and the treble range.
- Vertical slider: cuts or boosts the chosen region.
- Semi-automatic: the plugin handles the band shapes itself, so there are no bands, frequency numbers or Q settings to set.
- By ear: built for gestural, feel-based adjustment that non-specialists can use.
- Host support: the developer lists more than 20 tested hosts, including Logic Pro, Cubase, Ableton Live, Pro Tools, FL Studio, GarageBand, Reason and OBS Studio.
The current version is 1.1.0 (13 January 2026, a graphics-performance update). The free demo inserts one second of silence every 30 seconds.

When to use it
DeeEQ suits quick tonal tilts by ear when you don't want to think about frequencies at all. It is even simpler than TDR VOS SlickEQ, which still gives you three bands with frequency choices, and it costs more than SlickEQ's free version. Compared with Pro-Q 4 or TDR Nova, it cannot target a single frequency, notch a resonance or work dynamically. It also lacks the broad, musical boost curves and analogue colour of the Pultec Passive EQ Collection. Its value is speed: two slider moves to make a track darker, brighter, fuller or thinner.
- Best for: fast bass and treble balance on tracks, buses, podcasts and streams, and for users who prefer to work without EQ theory.
- Genres: any.
- Look elsewhere if: you need to cut a specific frequency or resonance (Pro-Q 4, TDR Nova) or want analogue-style colour (Pultec Passive EQ Collection).
