DeeCompressor is Dotec-Audio's flagship compressor, the successor to DeeComp, with attack and release from 0 ms, ratios down to 0.5:1, M/S mode and a built-in limiter.
It has side-chain filters and input, zero latency, and costs $120.

What it does
DeeCompressor is Dotec-Audio's flagship compressor, "the highly popular flagship compressor DeeComp reborn". Unlike most of the developer's one-knob plugins, it is a full compressor with detailed controls, aimed at the "FAT sound that you expect from a compressor" while staying clean.
- Core controls: threshold, ratio, knee, attack and release, with a wide range of knee settings.
- Timing: attack and release both adjustable from 0 ms, plus an automatic release mode.
- Ratio: goes down to 0.5:1, so it can also expand and bring transients forward.
- Side-chain: external side-chain input, and high-pass and low-pass filters on the detector to focus compression on a band (for example to tame clicks or sibilance).
- Stereo: mid/side mode and adjustable channel linking, from fully linked to independent channels.
- Limiter: an integrated limiter at the output.
- Zero latency: no added latency, so it can be used while tracking, with 64-bit double-precision processing.
The current version is 1.0.4 (13 January 2026, improved graphics performance). The free demo inserts one second of silence every 30 seconds.

When to use it
DeeCompressor is a clean, flexible digital compressor for people who want full control and zero latency. Compared with Pro-C 3, it covers much of the same practical ground (M/S, side-chain filters, expansion below 1:1, a limiter) but has fewer compression styles and less visual feedback. Against TDR Kotelnikov, it is less of a dedicated transparent mastering tool and is aimed more at everyday tracking and mixing, with an added limiter. Unlike the CLA-76 or MJUC, it doesn't model analog hardware, so it adds thickness without much colour. Within Dotec-Audio's range it is the detailed option, while DeeGlue does bus glue with three knobs.
- Best for: general compression on vocals, drums, bass and buses, M/S work on stereo material, and compressing while recording thanks to zero latency.
- Genres: any.
- Look elsewhere if: you want an analog-style character compressor; the CLA-76, CLA-2A or MJUC add more colour. Pro-C 3 has more styles and metering.
- Tip: set the ratio below 1:1 to use it as an upward expander that brings out transients, as Computer Music Japan suggests.
What producers say
Coverage is mostly from Japanese press, which treats it as a clean, versatile and very light compressor.
- Computer Music Japan (Keinoaza, April 2022) called it suitable for tracking, mixing and mastering, praising its clean, natural sound with a little added thickness, the absence of phase issues and very low CPU use (about 3% for ten instances in their test).
- Criticisms: the same review found the knee control less intuitive, as it shows only a decibel value with no hard or soft indication; it also noted that it lacks the colour of analog-modelled compressors.
