What it does
DeeBottom is a two-slider bass booster from Dotec-Audio. It aims to fix thin audio and weak bass impact, bringing out "rich low frequencies" with a good bass balance on any playback system.
- Bottom slider: the main control; it sets the bass balance automatically, relative to the high frequencies and the amount of boost you ask for.
- Warm slider: adds low-end richness aimed at devices with weak bass, such as smartphones and laptops.
- Automatic balance: there are no frequency, gain or Q settings to choose; the plugin decides how the boost is shaped.
- Sources: works on various audio sources; the developer also suggests it for improving audio in social media content.
- Hosts: tested in more than 18 hosts, including Ableton Live, Cubase, Logic Pro, FL Studio, Pro Tools, Studio One and OBS Studio for streaming.
Version 1.0.1 (13 January 2026) follows the first release, 1.0.0, from March 2025. The free demo has every feature but inserts one second of silence every 30 seconds.

When to use it
DeeBottom is the better pick when you want more low end quickly and don't want to choose frequencies yourself. Compared with Pro-Q 4 or TDR Nova, it gives you no control over the frequency, gain or shape of the boost, but it sets the bass balance automatically with two sliders, which suits non-engineers and fast content work. Compared with a Pultec-style low shelf such as the Pultec Passive EQ Collection, it offers no classic hardware colour or boost-and-cut trick, only a simple modern balance control. Its Warm slider targets the same small-speaker problem that Waves MaxxBass and Renaissance Bass address, with even fewer controls. It also runs in OBS Studio, which makes it usable for live streams.
- Best for: quickly adding low end to mixes, bass and drums, and to video, podcast and streaming audio that will be heard on phones and laptops.
- Genres: any, plus online video and streaming content.
- Look elsewhere if: you want to choose the exact frequency and shape of the boost (Pro-Q 4 or TDR Nova), or want vintage shelf colour (Pultec Passive EQ Collection).
