DeeAttack adds natural, punchy attack to percussion, loops and heavily compressed sounds using two controls, DEPTH and RATIO.
The developer says it works differently from a transient shaper, and it costs $50.
Best for: Drums, Drum Bus, Mix Bus, Bass, Guitars. Genres: all genres.

What it does
DeeAttack adds attack to sounds with just two controls. The developer describes it as giving a "natural yet powerful" sense of attack and sets it apart from conventional transient shapers.
- Two controls: DEPTH and RATIO, which work together to set how much attack is added; the developer does not explain each one separately.
- Attack only: it is built to add attack, not to reduce it or to change sustain.
- Percussion: brings out the hit of drums and percussion.
- Loops: adds punch to loop samples.
- After compression: recovers attack that heavy compression has flattened.
- Placement: usable on single tracks and on the master bus.
Version 1.0.1 (13 January 2026) improved drawing performance; the first release was 1.0.0 on 25 April 2025. The free demo inserts one second of silence every 30 seconds.

When to use it
DeeAttack is for quickly putting snap back into drums, loops or over-compressed material. Compared with SPL Transient Designer Plus or Smack Attack, it cannot reduce attack or shape sustain, but there are only two controls to set. Compared with spiff, it offers no frequency-dependent control, so it is a blunter but simpler tool. It also costs less than most of these.
- Best for: punchier drums and percussion, livelier loop samples, and restoring attack after heavy compression.
- Genres: any, especially beat-based music.
- Look elsewhere if: you need to soften attack or control sustain; SPL Transient Designer Plus or Smack Attack do both.
