EQuick by DMG Audio

EQuick is a light, 32-band parametric EQ from DMG Audio with per-band mid/side processing and a linear phase mode for mastering.

It is built for low CPU use across many tracks, and costs about $99 (£74.99).

Best for: Vocals, Drums, Guitars, Keys & Synths, Mastering. Genres: all genres.

Keywords: linear-phase, mid/side, mastering, corrective, CPU-light, transparent, built-in analyzer, metering, mixing, surgical, undo/redo, A/B compare, drums, musical, simple, static, vocals.

What it does

EQuick is DMG Audio's streamlined parametric EQ, built for low CPU use "for high instance counts" so it can sit on every channel. MusicRadar describes it as a different spin on the sound of DMG's larger EQuality.

KVR lists version 1.26. The sources do not mention a demo.

When to use it

EQuick is the better pick when you want a clean, precise EQ on many tracks at once without the CPU cost. Compared with Pro-Q 4 it has no dynamic bands or spectrum matching, but it gives a similar 32-band graphic workflow with per-band mid/side and a linear phase mode. It is far more flexible than the free TDR VOS SlickEQ, which has only a few fixed bands, and unlike TDR Nova it does not compress or expand. Compared with the Pultec Passive EQ Collection it adds no analog colour; MusicRadar found it has less character than some EQs, which is the point of a transparent channel EQ.

What producers say

The one full review found it powerful and very transparent, with a short learning curve as the main cost.
