What it does
UrsaDSP Boost is a low-distortion upward limiter by UrsaDSP (Dave Elton), sold through Devious Machines.
- Trajectory: technology that keeps distortion very low.
- Focus: moves between upward limiting and brick-wall limiting.
- Other controls: Emphasis mode for transient character, Max Gain to protect reverb tails, drive modes and mid/side image control.
- Also: inter-sample peak prevention and parallel compression.

When to use it
Use it to raise perceived loudness on tracks, groups or the master bus while keeping the sound natural. It works by lifting quieter material rather than only capping peaks, which makes it different from a conventional limiter.
