LOVE 2 is a Dawesome ambient effect that combines a musically tuned granular engine with six configurable effect slots.

What it does
LOVE 2 is Dawesome's granular multi-effect for turning any source into shimmer, texture and atmosphere. A musically tuned granular engine shapes the sound first, then six effect slots add colour and space.
- Granular engine: controls for grain size, density and pitch shift, with time-stretching, reversing and scattering, an Offset control for moving through the buffer, and randomization of grain probability.
- Six effect slots: filled from 20 or more curated modules, covering modulation, filtering, delay, dynamics, distortion and reverb.
- Free signal flow: new in version 2, modules can be dragged and dropped into any order.
- Randomizer: intelligent randomization with module lock, so chosen modules stay as they are.
- Presets: over 250 factory presets, sub-presets for each module, and import of LOVE 1 presets.
- Global controls: input and output levels and a wet/dry mix.
Version 2 adds over 15 new modules and over 100 new presets to the original LOVE. It is also sold in a bundle with HATE, and an upgrade price applies for LOVE 1 owners. A 90-day unlimited trial is available.
When to use it
LOVE 2 is the better pick when you want a source rebuilt into pads and textures in one plugin. Compared with Valhalla Shimmer or a plain reverb, it adds a full granular stage and a chain of other effects, so it reshapes a sound rather than only putting it in a space. It is more focused on ambience than Infiltrator 2 or Multipass, which cover more effect types but need more patching to get there. With 250+ presets, a randomizer and a 90-day trial, it is also quick to get results from without building a chain yourself.
- Best for: turning pianos into pads, vocals into choir-like layers, and guitars into evolving textures.
- Genres: ambient, cinematic and film scoring, electronic and pop.
- Look elsewhere if: you only need a clean reverb (Valhalla VintageVerb) or rhythmic glitch effects (Effectrix2).
