What it does
Eternal Return is a riser effect that, in Dada Life's words, "makes your buildups go 3 AM eternal." It adds a cycling pitch rise that seems to go on forever to sounds already in the track. KVR files it under reverb and flanger effects.
- Endless rise: a cycling pitch-rise effect that lifts existing material higher during build-ups.
- Best on high, noisy sounds: tuned for high frequencies, and especially effective on white-noise sweeps and snare rolls.
- Two knobs: the same minimal interface as the rest of the Secret Sauce bundle, so it is easy to automate.
- Uses: adding edge to sounds during build-ups and breaks.
- Bundle: part of the Secret Sauce bundle with Space In-Your-Face (reverb) and Wide Awake Rainbow (stereo widener).
The bundle came out in February 2024. KVR lists versions 1.0 and 1.0.10. One purchase covers all three Secret Sauce plugins. The sources do not mention a demo.

When to use it
Eternal Return is a quick way to add an endless rising lift to sounds already in a build-up, not a tool for designing a riser from scratch. Compared with Dada Life's Endless Smile, which drives a whole chain of build-up effects from one control, it does a single job: the pitch rise. Unlike Baby Audio Transit 2, it has no effect chain or macro to shape a whole transition, and it does none of the gating and stutter tricks of Stutter Edit 2 or Effectrix2. In return it takes seconds to set up.
- Best for: snare rolls, noise sweeps and other high, bright build-up parts.
- Genres: EDM and dance music.
- Look elsewhere if: you want full transition design with filters, gating and delays (Transit 2, Stutter Edit 2) or a riser generator that makes sound on its own.
- Tip: feed it white-noise sweeps or snare rolls, where Gearnews says it works best.
