Tekturon is D16 Group's multitap delay laid out like a step sequencer, with 16 delay lines arranged in a grid.
Each line has its own feedback, panning, stereo spread and filter, and a master section adds a time grid, shuffle and a global filter for rhythmic echo patterns.
Best for: Drums, Keys & Synths, Sound Design. Genres: Electronic & EDM, Ambient & Cinematic, Hip-Hop & Trap.
Keywords: multi-tap, rhythmic, drums, wide, synths, creative, extreme, MIDI-controllable, mixing, preset-driven, resizable UI, samples & loops, sound design, tempo-synced.
What it does
Tekturon is a "Multi-tap Sequenced Delay": instead of setting taps by time, you program 16 delay lines in sequence, like steps in a drum machine.
- 16 delay lines: independent high-quality lines arranged in sequence, each with its own delay loop, panning, stereo spread and post-tap multimode filter.
- Mute buttons: a MIDI-assignable mute for each delay line, for live pattern changes.
- Master section: time grid, feedback base, shuffle/swing and a master filter, with host tempo sync.
- Local and global control: parameters can be set per line or across all lines.
- Extras: around 100 factory presets, MIDI Learn and multiple UI sizes with HiDPI support.
The current version is 1.2.2, at sample rates of 44.1 kHz and up.

When to use it
Tekturon is a rhythm tool, like Eventide UltraTap and Soundtoys PrimalTap. Pick it when you want to sequence echo patterns step by step with per-tap filtering and swing; pick UltraTap for smeared multitap textures, or a vintage delay like EchoBoy for classic echo tone.
- Best for: rhythmic echo patterns on drums, plucks and synth stabs, and filtered, swung delay grooves.
- Genres: techno, house, IDM, ambient and hip-hop.
- Look elsewhere if: you need per-tap modulation or free, unquantized tap timing.
- Standout: the 16-step sequencer layout with per-line filters and MIDI-assignable mutes.
What producers say
Computer Music liked its creative range and filter sound but noted limits.
- Computer Music / MusicRadar (2017): called it "a Pandora's box of rhythmic and spatial delay possibilities" with "Wildly creative delays" and a filter that "sounds gorgeous."
- Gripe: the same review listed "No modulation or individual tap timing" as a con.
