What it does

D16 calls Godfazer "the Swiss army knife of modulation effects." It combines an ensemble section and two multi-mode filters, each driven by flexible modulators, so it can act as a chorus, rotary speaker, tremolo, phaser, auto-pan or step-sequenced filter.

The current version is 1.2.3, at sample rates of 44.1 kHz and up.

When to use it

Godfazer sits between single-purpose modulation plugins such as Soundtoys PhaseMistress, Eventide Instant Phaser Mk II and D16's own Syntorus 2, and do-everything tools like Cableguys ShaperBox 3. Choose it when you want chorus, rotary, tremolo and filter-phaser effects stacked and modulated in one window; stick with a dedicated phaser or chorus when you want one classic sound quickly, or ShaperBox 3 for drawn envelope shapes.
