What it does

Low End is the bass instrument in Cradle's State Machine series: "a modern bass engine" covering gritty trap 808s, warm analog subs and FM aggression. It is preset-based and built to get a bass sitting in the mix fast.

Version 1.1.0 is listed on KVR. It has a 14-day free trial.

When to use it

Low End is the quick pick for beatmakers who want a ready bass now rather than a bass to design. Compared with Serum 2 or Vital, it offers far less sound design but much faster results, with presets already shaped for the low end. Against MODO BASS 2 it is not a realistic electric bass; it focuses on 808s, subs and synthetic basses. Its scale lock and arpeggiator also make it easy to write bass lines without much keyboard skill.
