What it does
Monarch is a tape machine emulation aimed at subtle saturation and glue rather than lo-fi effects.
- Saturation: Drive and Trim controls for level-matched saturation.
- Bias: separate LF and HF bias controls to shape low-end weight and top-end saturation.
- Tape options: modern or vintage response, and 1/2" or 2" tape width.
- Extras: 4x oversampling, a global mix control and artist presets.

When to use it
Use it on single tracks or the whole mix when you want gentle tape density and mild compression without wobble or noise. Compared with Canvas Audio's Mixtape, the lo-fi cassette option, Monarch is the more polished, mix-ready one.
Suits pop, rock, hip-hop and acoustic material.
