What it does

bx_panEQ is a spatial equaliser: each EQ band can be placed at a chosen position in the stereo field, so you can change the tone of one part of the stereo image without affecting the rest.

Bands: three parametric bell filters, each with Gain, Frequency, Q, Pan and Focus controls.
Focus: sets how wide the affected area is in the stereo field.
Q: proportional Q that adjusts with the amount of boost or cut.
Display: a panoramic spectral analyzer showing frequency against stereo position, with solo buttons per band and a resizable interface.

When to use it

This is a corrective tool for stereo material you can't go back and remix, for example lifting a cymbal that is panned to one side of a stereo mix. It is not a general-purpose EQ: for everyday shaping, a full-featured EQ such as Pro-Q 4 from the rated list is a better first choice. Best for mastering, stereo buses and pre-recorded stereo stems.
