What it does

Width Knob is a free stereo width control that also flips the stereo image, all from one knob.

Range: from full width, through mono, to a flipped left/right image.
Feedback: the display changes colour when the image is flipped.
Automation: made for automating width changes between sections.
Use: on stereo, group, aux or bus channels; it does not work on mono tracks.

When to use it

Use it to narrow an over-wide stereo track, to decide whether a drum kit should be audience or drummer perspective, or for dramatic width automation. It is not a widener that adds width to a mono source; Mongoose 2 is better for bass and highs.

Best for: drum overheads, stereo synths and any bus, in any genre.
