What it does

ProVocative is a micro pitch-shifter for thickening and widening vocals and instruments, inspired by a well-known hardware unit.

Pitch: shifts by 1 to 20 cents.
Mix: independent wet and dry controls, with a link option.
Filters: high-pass and low-pass on the shifted signal.
Width and delay: stereo width control and a 20 to 150 ms delay for depth.
Workflow: A/B preset banks.

When to use it

A classic double-tracking trick: use it to thicken a lead vocal or widen a mono guitar. For vocal tuning rather than thickening, look at the rated pitch plugins, such as Auto-Tune Pro 11 or Little AlterBoy.

Best for: lead vocals, backing vocals, guitars and synth pads in pop, rock and electronic.
