What it does
Manic Compressor is a compressor with six switchable models, built with parallel compression in mind.
- Six models: switch between them without changing settings.
- True parallel: separate wet, dry and master faders.
- Two EQ sections: Sidechain EQ and Tone EQ, each with its own preset manager.
- Beef switch: Thin, Neutral or Thick response.
- Also: variable knee, Loud Relief for natural transients under heavy compression, Drive, mid/side and dual-mono modes, and external sidechain with listen.

When to use it
It is aimed at heavy parallel compression rather than transparent levelling. Unlike Pro-C 3, the rated benchmark if you want one compressor to do everything, the Manic is for drums, guitars and buses where you want to squash hard and blend it back in.
- Best for: drum buses, parallel drums and vocals in rock, pop and hip-hop.
