Tutorials show it doubling as a bass driver as well as a peak tamer on drums. Its little sibling, Little Clipper 2, is a simpler version.

What it does
Big Clipper 2 is Boz Digital Labs' clipper, described as a gateway to "pro-level masters and total transient control", with results from gritty harmonics to smooth warmth.
- Shape: hard or soft clipping, with separate shaping for the top and bottom of the waveform.
- Bias: drives the waveform asymmetrically.
- Distortion and Tube Mode: a tube stage with two different profiles.
- Blend: new in version 2, it mixes waveshaping with a soft, compression-style distortion.
- Heft: protects the bass, with a Heft Frequency control to set the low-end range.
Little Clipper 2, a simpler, lighter-on-CPU version, is included.

When to use it
Big Clipper 2 is the hands-on, colourful option: more of its controls shape distortion than on any other clipper here, so it works as a drive unit as well as a peak tamer.
- Best for: drums and drum buses, bass (including as a bass driver), and the mix bus.
- Standout: Heft, which keeps the low end from thinning out when you clip hard.
- Price: usually on sale at around half its list price.
