What it does
Box Of Synths is Box Of Rules' synthesizer that designs patches from plain-language descriptions such as "underwater pad" or "retro game bass".
- Patch generation: uses a database built from measured synthesizers, or optionally a local AI model through Ollama.
- Synth: a three-oscillator subtractive engine with sub and noise, 12/24 dB filters, two envelopes, two LFOs, chorus and delay.
- Editing: generated macro controls, plus version history with rating and comparison.

When to use it
Box Of Synths is a quick way to get a starting patch when you know the sound you want but not the settings. It is a different approach from preset browsing, and the database option works without AI.
